Homemade yogurt

  • 33.8 fl oz whole milk

  • plain yogurt


    - Vanilla
    - Fruit preserves




Heat the milk in the pan over low heat. Reduce the milk by 1/3.

Turn off the heat and place a dishcloth over the pan and leave to cool to 113°F (45°C) (Use a thermometer)

Add the yogurt and mix well.

Divide the mixture into 6 glass pots.

Preheat the oven to 130°F (55°C)

Wash the pan and place the yogurt pots inside, then add lukewarm water to reach halfway up the sides of the pots.

Place in the oven for 20 min then switch off and leave for 5 hours in the closed oven.

Chill for a few hours.

Tips: You can add vanilla to your yogurt mixture or add fruit preserves just before serving.
