Thanksgiving Roasted Turkey
- One 13 lb turkey
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 lb stuffing
- 6 garlic cloves
- 3 lb small potatoes
- 3 sprigs fresh thyme
- Olive oil
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
1/ Stuff the turkey.
2/ Tie the Turkey's legs and baste with melted butter.
3/ Season with salt and pepper.
4/ Wash potatoes and place them in the baking dish underneath the rack. Add the garlic cloves, thyme and two tablespoons of olive oil. Salt.
5/ Cook for about 3 hours in the oven and check the core temperature with the meat thermometer. The temperature must reach 185°F (85°C).
Allow the meat to cool for half an hour after removing it from the oven.
