Tuna tataki with sesame and lime

Preparation time: 5 min
Cooking time: 5 min
Resting time: 12 hours
Serves 4

 INGREDIENTS

  • 3 lb tuna loin
  • 4 fl oz soy sauce
  • 4 fl oz lime juice
  • 5 tbsp sesame oil
  • 35 oz minced ginger
  • 7 oz roasted sesame seeds

METHOD

Slice the tuna loin into 1-inch thick pieces.

In a baking dish, mix the marinade with the soy sauce, lime juice, sesame oil and minced ginger.

Place the tuna pieces, then marinate for 8-12 hours in the refrigerator.

Strain the tuna pieces and heat the grilling pan to 2/3 of your stove’s maximum heat.

Brown for 1 minute on each side. Turn the pieces 90 degrees and then brown each side again.

Remove the tuna and roll it in the sesame seeds to cover it.

Slice the fish and serve along with the remaining marinade.

Tip: You can make the same recipe with salmon.
