- 6 vegan burger buns
- 6 slices of vegan cheese
- 1 lb cooked red beans
- 6 slices of tomato
- 2 chopped shallots
- 1 chopped garlic clove
- 3 oz + 3.5 oz bread crumbs
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 6 lettuce leaves
- Salt & pepper
Blend the red beans, shallots and garlic to create a paste.
Add the cornstarch, 3 oz of breadcrumbs, the soy sauce and adjust seasoning.
Form 6 patties and roll them in the remaining breadcrumbs.
Heat the griddle to 2/3 of its maximum power and add 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
Place the vegan steaks on the griddle and brown for 10 minutes, regularly turning them over. Lower the heat if needed.
Add the pieces of cheese at the last minute.
Toast the buns on the griddle with a drizzle of olive oil.
Assembly: Place a leaf of lettuce on the bottom bun, then the vegan steak, a slice of tomato and the top bun.
Warm in the oven for 2 minutes.
Tip: You can add slices of roasted vegetables, such as zucchini or eggplant.
