Cornish Pasties

Serves 4



  • 5 oz ground beef
  • 2 potatoes
  • 1 rutabaga
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 sheets of puff pastry
  • 1 tablespoon chopped rosemary
  • 1 egg yolk for the egg wash
  • 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce




Peel the potatoes and rutabaga and dice them in small pieces.

Heat the frying pan to 2/3 of the maximum power of your stove with a tablespoon of oil, then brown the vegetables and onion for 15 minutes.

Add the meat and cook for 5 additional minutes. Season with Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper, and rosemary.

Carve out large circles in the puff pastry and place the stuffing on one half.

Baste with egg wash and seal the edges together by pinching them.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (355°F) and bake for 30 minutes.

Serve with a salad.


Tip: You can replace the beef with pork or lamb.
